First time, Long time.

Those big oily birds cleaning
their feathers on the roof,
what are they called? The
radio crackles. All over
the city installations open
their white walls to greet us
with mystification. Blind
the grey arthritic cat leans
his clouded head on his paw
waiting for footsteps. Wind
plays the chime. How
can it be the first and last
time all at once? The old

sun, dead middle of summer,
worse than it's ever been. I love
baseball, it makes me angry
and hopeful for justice.
I once rode a boat all night
past the dark islands,
my fingers were playing
a tiny violin everyone heard,
no one knew what it was,
they thought a music box
in the luggage had opened.
I remember holding a coin,
but not why I said I too
see the lights of Tunisia,
Brooklyn, Spain, it took
ages to cross three avenues
through the morning
to where I could sit
down like an American
and start writing this for you.

the poem up there is written by Matthew J. Zapruder. for those who are doing the poerty module this term and have a unseen poetry test coming up, you can try annotating that. (:

anyways, that thing up there's just for i-dont-know-what. just couldn't think of a better way to start writing a post here when i havent written any before since the blog was created and that is i-dont-know-when.

i believe syf is over and many people are still thinking a lot about your performance on stage for that 10minutes or so. still no matter what results your school achieved, what it mattered most was the effort put in, not the results.

i think arts is a really abstract thing. did i use the right word? but nevertheless, while one might feel that an art piece is very artistic, the other might not even take a second look at it. when you have already put in your best in every aspect for your music or even drama, may it be cohesion, feelings/emotions, confidence, you should know better than to worry for the results.

of course the judges will try to be objective, but people will still tend to be subjective. so maybe you got gold without honours, silver, bronze or even certificate of participation, fret not over what you achieved because what it really matters is that you have touched the hearts of the audiences, you have moved them, you have moved yourself, and most importantly, 你沒有對不起你所創造的音樂或戲劇。

yup. so jiayou and get on with life. maybe what yizuo said here applies. don't look back and brood over what you did not do right, get on with life. but to improve in life, you need to look back and improve based on what you think you did not get hold of the previous time.

so for those who did not do well this time, may it be for syf, competitions, school tests or even the daily work you get from school, i think that is when revision comes it.

dont see revision as a chore. see it as you re visioning what you did in the past and then rectify what you need. (: oh wells, it still sounds the same to me. :/

actually, i feel pressurized. while writing this post, that is. i fear that that are grammatical and vocabulary errors here and there, especially when there are english pros like maureen. heh. :S

whoohooo we're having a class chalet for heaven's sake ! like wth how unexpected ! all thanks t th initiate planner yizuo, let's give a round of applause t him !

anyway, important stuffs. those who are staying over please bring at least 35bucks while those who are only going for th BBQ please bring at least 30bucks thankyou [: you can bring abit lesser of alot more i don't care haha xD just bring enough t pay and other expenses.

th main programme for th day is obviously th BARBECUE ! :D :D like DUH there's quite alot of nice food haha ! of cause luh i book one what ! so your must eat alot okays ! there's more than enough don't worry eh. besides bbq, we'll also go t escape theme park (sighs), due t lack of entertaining places, but still we'll have a whale of fun there ! oh yes btw escape now it's 6bucks because of promotional prices (: and other programs are quite minimised ones and only those who are staying over can enjoy them ? not very sure but if you'd suddenly like t stayover, WE WELCOME YOU MAN :D don't hesitate ! it'll be a alot of funnnnnnnnnn !

why? angry that we go into YOUR class hur? you dont really think it's your class, do you? past years 6gracious people have used it. you are just using a USED classroom. if you really think you are a 6graciousian, be it what year, then please think of how a graciousian should act online, in public, in school, and even at home. let me tell you that that all the past years 6gracious classes are not like your batch. you have tarnished the good name of your class, have tarnished the good names of the past years classes, and also will tarnish the future gracious classes. please do some soul searching. if you continue your supercilious and unrespectful way, then you will have no good future at all. it will be ruined by your ownself, all because u tagged on people's blog not even thinking of the consequences that is due after that. if we, the 6gracious'05 people dont even care about YOUR BATCH, we wouldnt even have come up there/ we love the blood-red classroom. i dunon if you cared for your classroom, but be reminded that WE DO A LOT. the classroom hold all of the gracious people's memories. and finally, please think before you do anything else, thank you.

6GRACIOUS'05 CLASS GATHERING ( JUNE2006 )
Venue: Escape Theme Park+ Pasir Ris Bowl

Time: 1030am- 730pm, 17 June

Details: Everyone will meet at Pasir Ris MRT stn, control stn at 1030am. Then we will set
off taking bus 354 t downtown east. There, we'll proceed t Escape Theme Park and buy
tickets. Please bring at least $25- $30++ because you'll need $16.50 ( 13 yrs old) or
$8.30 ( 12yrs old). But if you can, for those 13 yrs old, try t bluff your way in t save more
money for yourself. Means you have t look childish, lol. And also, your lunch at Foodcourt
which will need around $5. Last but not least, you'll need some more money for bowling games.
The first game will cost more than the rest so don't worry. So make sure you bring enough
money (: Yup, we'll then end our class gathering at around 730pm. Please make arrangements
for your own transport back home. You can take the same bus back t the bus interchange and
walk t Pasir Ris MRT stn and take a train back home. If not, just longpang someone's car back.
Yes, this is basic sense so better get it.

Oh yes, Maureen and I will call you t ask if your are confirmed gng or not. Better if you sms or
call me, 81813126/ 67588862. Do not prank call please. Please Please notify us as soon as
possible and hope that most of your can come. As months goes by, our gatherings are harder
and harder t plan. After one month of quarells, disagreements and efforts, finally we bring you
our third class gathering- the ' Grand ' one. We are very sorry that we could not make it grand,
but we still hope your will enjoy yourself there, with the presence of your ex-classmates.

whai peng here. hm... sounds really pissed off. anyway, ok... if you guys really want the gathering at OCC, then someone has to tell me who the he** are going and how many and what you want to do. cos' if you don't tell me, then i will not be able to call the manangement and ask for permission.

Hey guys,
how's everything? i really miss you guys a lot. i really miss playing with the guys, playing water spraying with wen shen, everything. i miss copying those book reviews from those extremely obedient ones to pass them up to mr tok.

how come i'm feeling all of these? i mean, we are actually supposed to move on with life, and not keep on brooding on with what happened last year... but i really can't help but keep thinking about last year... about mdm chia... mrs chu ... everyone... how come i'm feeling this way? i mean, compared to the others, i have only spent a year in the class. and i should, by comparison, not feel so much attachment compared to others. but i think, it's because of this particular reason, that i feel even more attached to 6Gracious. i mean, i just want to thank you guys for helping me to adapt so quickly to the new environment. thank you for accepting me into the group of friends, despite me havingg a serious friendship in 6caring then. thank you for not looking at my outer appearance only... also looking into my inner beauty ...

thank you tong zhen. thank you for being my best friend, i can proudly say so... i really thank you for being there when i need you the most. when i needed a shoulder to cry on. thank you for listening to me and telling me all your secrets.

but still, in time to come, we, 6gracious of year 2005, will be forgotten. the school will move on. the people will move on. our pictures will be shelved, just like the others that were before us. all the trophies that our class won, all the certificates, will be left to be displayed by students who have never heard of us, never seen us. we will be forgotten.

MAN ! 27th jan is really a memorable day !

yep we came back to chongfu, but at different times. we have seen some ppl but we didnt see then all . what a pity !

i think most of us have visited MDM CHIA(: and haha the old tradition, give her oranges and if you're lucky enough you'll receive a hongbao from her ! hahahh ! i guess nobody did.. --"

still, it was kinda sad that we actually dint make plans to meet at what time or go out together. maybe it some kind of a miscommunication ? sighs but nvm ! cos we'll defintely haf another gathering ! and WHEEEEE . 27th is really memorable ! the most memorable part for me was the catching ! hahahah cant believe we played catching weith the boys again ! cos long time already nv play.. some more their speed deproved liao ! hahahah ! but also the most important is to see the 6GRACIOUS ppl ! yay !

aha 6GRACIOUS peeps ! i found this new skin in blogskins so i used it for this class blog ! i merely changed the pic but still left the credits alone lah .
